$ 120.00

This gift set includes the essentials you need to whisk up a perfect cup of matcha—bamboo whisk, scoop, sifter, Kiwami matcha all contained in a travel pouch.

What’s Inside:

Japanese Kazuho Whisk
This Kazuho-style white bamboo tea whisk (chasen) is made by Chikumeido Sabun, a 24th-generation family-run tea whisk manufacturer in Takayama, Nara Prefecture, Japan. Each whisk is hand-carved from a single piece of 100% natural, chemical-free locally grown bamboo under the guidance of the head of the temple, Mr. Kubo Sabun, who serves as Chairman of the Takayama Chasen Traditional Craftsmen Association.

Matcha Sifter
This minimally-designed, two-part tea strainer (chakoshi) has a fine mesh body ideal for sifting clump-free matcha. The separate receiving dish can be used as a vessel to hold sifted matcha and as a stand for the strainer. Made of high-quality stainless steel, this tea strainer was crafted in Tsubame-city, an area known for its abundance of mineral resources and production of tableware and metal houseware.

Matcha Scoop
Elegant and minimal, this gold measuring scoop is made from high-quality stainless steel to prevent rust and maintain a beautiful luster. This 1 tsp scoop measures the ideal portion of matcha every time. Our Gold Scoop is made in Tsubame City, an area known for its abundance of mineral resources and production of tableware and metal houseware.

Kiwami 30g Matcha Powder

Our highest grade of matcha, the word Kiwami translates to “ultimate” or “extreme.” Displaying a balanced umami flavor, Kiwami presents tasting notes of florals, honey, and cream, a refreshing fragrance, and a hint of natural sweetness—it’s also the best matcha we’ve ever tasted.

Matchaful is a female-founded purveyor of sustainable Japanese matcha and botanical-based nutrition headquartered in Brooklyn, NY. Our mission to take care of our health, each other, and the earth is at the core of all we do.

Quality Control

Before our matcha arrives at your front door, it undergoes extensive third-party testing for radiation, heavy metals, and over 700 pesticides and herbicides to ensure it meets Matchaful standards. All our matcha is pesticide-free or certified organic.

Quick Facts

— Matcha is the only tea where you actually ingest the leaf.
— Most teas are steeped and then thrown away.
— This is what makes matcha so special and unique, and also what leads to its amazing health benefits.

Matcha Contains

Powerful Antioxidants

Matcha is an antioxidant powerhouse. On the ORAC scale (oxygen radical absorbance capacity – a measure of the antioxidant capacity of food), it surpasses all other antioxidant-rich foods including blueberries, pomegranates, and dark chocolate.

The antioxidants in matcha are made up of 60% catechin polyphenols – the most potent antioxidant. Catechins offer protection against many kinds of cancer, helping to prevent heart disease, reduce cholesterol, and slow the process of aging. The most important and abundant polyphenol in matcha is EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate) – the same polyphenol found in all green teas.

Matcha Provides

Sustained Energy & Focus

L-Theanine, an amino acid found in matcha, combines with caffeine to create increased focused and sustained energy throughout the day. L-Theanine has been hailed for relaxing the brain, muscles, and blood vessels. It can help lower blood pressure, enhance mood and promotes a sense of calmness by relaxing alpha waves in the brain (associated with a feeling of happiness and alertness) and increasing dopamine production – two of the brain’s ‘feel good’ chemicals. This amino acid is the secret ingredient that leaves you feeling energetic and focused yet calm all day long.

Matcha is

Cleansing & Detoxifying

Matcha is five times higher in chlorophyll than regular green tea. The primary reason chlorophyll is considered a superfood is because of its strong antioxidant and anticancer effects. Chlorophyll benefits the immune system because it’s able to form tight molecular bonds with certain chemicals that contribute to oxidative damage and diseases like cancer or liver disease. Chlorophyll can help give you clear skin, protect your blood and heart, and also help prevent joint inflammation.
